Over the next week, we will learn about two different ways to make XR applications—Using **Unity,** and also WebXR (in case anyone is interested).

It would be great if you could download and install the following software before the course begins. In case you have any issues, feel free to post a question on the class group.

Check your devices

VR Support

All mobile devices should be able to support some form of mobile VR.

On Android, you might need to install two additional apps from the Play store

  1. Google VR Services
  2. Google Cardboard

AR Support

All mobile devices should be able to run marker-based AR applications.

However, only more recent devices are capable of running markerless, room-scale AR applications.

Android Devices: Check if your device supports markerless AR using our AR Check application, or by searching for your device model in this list of supported devices.

iOS Devices: Scroll down to the bottom of this page and check for your device.

If possible, it would be great if you have a device that supports markerless AR, preferably Android.
